Starting to consolidate my tech

I’ve always been a techie, and as a result have acquired a large amount of gadgets. I seem to have a preference for mobile tech; portable game systems, laptops, MP3 players, etc. Earlier this year I went through a “dedicated device for everything” phase, leading to me getting single purpose gadgets like the Xteink X3 and SnowSky Echo. I was carrying all those devices, plus my laptop, iPad and a 3DS XL in my book-bag.

Now, I’m swinging the other way. I want to lean into more minimal setups. Less wires, less chargers, less things to manage, less weight in my bag.

Oh, and less shit to take with us as my wife and I start serious discussions on moving from the United States.

I’m not exactly sure the best way to sell electronics, I’ve never had good success with Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. Maybe I’ll try eBay. But I want to get rid of my literal stack of laptops, my single purpose devices, and maybe even my retro tech.

The retro tech will be the hardest, I do enjoy owning it, but I honestly never use it and I’m absolutely not taking it overseas with me. Except for the New 3DS XL, that device will always be a daily driver for me.
